So far today I have done the following, based on various links and suggestions: I am running (on this HDD) XP Home SP3, with ZoneAlarm free antivirus/firewall.Īnyway, I have googled around the problem as best I can. This is probably not a related issue, however!) However, if I leave it to presumably clear the cache, it's fine. (I have noticed, however, if I shut down out of Win 7, I have to leave the PC for a good five minutes because it does NOT like it it sometimes doesn't pick up the keyboard and occasionally gives me graphical glitches. I am running a dual-boot machine (one win XP drive, one Win 7 drive), and until now both have been pretty co-operative. This happened all of sudden in the last couple of days. In Win Explorer proper, once it finally brings up the folder, it seems okay, and otherwise navigation between folders seems okay. This is having knock-on effects: both TurboCAD 17 and MS Word are also struggling to access the top level drop-down menu on "open", (Word brings up an initialising folders" box) though the "one level up" button seems to work.

It does get there eventually but it takes a minute or two. It is taking an inordinately long time to access the "my computer" folder. But I thought Media Share works through my cad5 wireing.I am having a mysterious issue with Windows Explorer. I do have an error message on my dish alignment and Tech support said it could be a wiring issue. Again I am running Vista x 64, WMP 11, My processor is i7-920 Quad-Core I am hard wired into a Netgear Pro Safe 24 Port 10/100 Mbps Switch that my router Linksys that goes into the switch.Every STB has internet.all my printers are shared and work.Have whole home that is working on all my STBs.

but media share is the way I would rather see the movies. What has me so puzzeled is thst it use to work and I never had this error before.now nothing plays from stsrt to finish.I added ram to my pc now have 11GBs.I know I can burn and play on my dvd player. But I converted and did nothing and I still get the interuption. I thought that it might have been my converter, that while it was converting that I did something else on the PC. No the stream interuption time varies, I know that 2hrs is about as much as can be played.
